We are both happy and proud to announce that Brewery De Halve Maan won five medals at the Australian International Brewing Awards, including three gold awards.
- Brugse Zot Blond: gold in the category Belgian & French Style Ale, Blonde
- Brugse Zot Dubbel: gold in the category Belgian & French Style Ale, Dubbel
- Straffe Hendrik Tripel: gold in the category Belgian & French Style Ale, Tripel
- Straffe Hendrik Quadrupel: silver in the category Belgian & French Style Ale, Dark Strong
- Straffe Hendrik Wild: silver in the category Best Speciality Beer, Other
The 2015 AIBA attracted a record number of entries with more than 1,700 submissions from 344 exhibitors, across 35 countries received. The wide variety of beer styles were assessed by an expert industry panel of 58 judges from around the world. Head Judge Warren Pawsey, who oversaw the largest panel of assessors ever assembled for the awards, was overwhelmed with the quality of entrants in 2015, which has improved year-on-year. ‘We have been extremely impressed by the high quality product coming through, and 2015’s pool of entrants has not disappointed.’
To top things of, this year’s Champion Large International Brewery Trophy was also awarded to Brewery De Halve Maan.

April 4, 2015 is Belgian Beer Day, a day of celebration for the world's original craft brewers - the Belgians. The main square of Antwerp will be the hub of activity with international venues participating with them via Skype. Venues will be in communication with Antwerp raising their glasses to the most incredible brewers on the planet.
All 3 Biercraft locations, the St. Regis Hotel and the Jumping Seagle in Squamish are our participating venues with the Jumping Seagle Skype Toast at 2:15.

The 20th Annual Event takes place Friday, April 10th 4:00 - 9:00 and Saturday April 11th noon - 6:00 at the Penticton Trade and Convention Centre, 273 Power Street, Penticton BC.

What is included in your ticket price? Each ticket includes access on the day of the ticket; live entertainment; a limited edition souvenir OFOA acrylic sampling glass; a $3 Get Home Safe coupon (for use with any participating taxi or Get Home Safe program supplier); and a souvenir passport.
How do I purchase sampling tokens? Tokens are sold separately at the event. OFOA tokens sales are by CASH only. An ATM machine is available on-site. If you have any red tokens left over from previous years, bring them with you - they are valid each year. Tokens have a $2 value and include tax. Each $2 token is good for food (denominations vary by vendor) or a 4 oz. beverage sample.
