Brouwerij Sterkens of Belgium

Since 1651, Brouwerij Sterkens has been brewing traditional, delicious abbey beers of high fermentation in Meer, a small village in the north of Belgium.

Brewed according to tradition and old recipes, complimented by knowledge and experience obtained from past decades, are still the biggest assets in the brewing process of Brouwerij Sterkens.

The St. Sebastiaan Grand Cru is a golden, heavy fermented abbey beer with a distinctive fruity aroma and subtle hints of elaborately selected herbs. This Grand Cru has a nice balance between sweet and bitter and has a nice full-bodied taste with a soft, malty aftertaste. It is re-fermented by the brewery in the jug and or bottle. The result is a nice, clear beer with a wonderful aroma and, for those who love it, a touch of yeast at the bottom of the bottle.
