Brasserie Ecaussinnes

Brewery:
Brasserie Ecaussinnes
Belgium

The "Brasserie des Carrières" started making beer in 1897. They made the Ultra beer until 1970 then they transferred the production to another brewery. In the "Brasserie du Progrès" the water they used was completely different. As beer contains 90% of water the quality is very important so in 1972 production of the "Ultra" was stopped. In 1999, Hugues and Isabel Van Poucke decided to install a brewery in a nice restored farm-castle. Important families and even "La Comédie Française" once owned this large farm. During the summer of 2001 the brewing of Ultramour beer began again and since that time, brewery Ecaussinnes has developed it’s own, signature premium beers.
