A nutty amber brew named for A. J. Moneuse (b. 1768), a famous local bandit and gang leader, and ancestor of the brewer's family. Clear amber. Synthetic corks, pure malt. 2 types of malt, hops, yeast, water, granulated white sugar.
Beer & Food Pairing: Foods that are not sweet. Sandwiches, hearty soups, pizzas, pastas and steak. Also a good thirst-quencher for barbecue, Thai, or Mexican food. Curry, steamed clams, Thai noodles, gazpacho. Try it with hard and semi-hard cheeses. Also, hamburgers, sausage, smoked fish, game, steak, teriyaki chicken, pork tenderloin. The fruitier pale ales also will complement lamb, beef and game, or try them with liver pate.
